The New York Islanders Girls Elite Hockey program was established in 2016 by Alexis Moed in conjunction with the New York Islanders and the Northwell Health Ice Center. Located in East Meadow, NY the program is committed to the support and development of girls ice hockey on Long Island and in the NY metropolitan area.
We currently offer teams for girls ages 8-19 years old with an emphasis on skill development in combination with competitive league game play. We are a USA Hockey and NYSAHA sanction program and field multiple teams at the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 19u level.
Our goal is to foster partnerships that support the growth of the girls' game and benefit all players and coaches. We devote ourselves to teaching life lessons through hockey and paving the way for future prep and college hockey opportunity.
Our guidance and coaching is provided by the best in the business and our mostly female coaching staff is comprised of former NCAA Division I and top Division III players. With strong ties to players and staff at the women’s professional and national team level, the organization has access to the top resources in the game.
We are an organization by women for women!
