The New York Islanders Girls Elite Hockey program was established in 2016 by Alexis Moed in conjunction with the New York Islanders and the Northwell Health Ice Center. Located in East Meadow, NY the program is committed to the support and development of girls ice hockey on Long Island and in the NY metropolitan area.
We currently offer teams for girls ages 8-19 years old with an emphasis on skill development in combination with competitive league game play. We are a USA Hockey and NYSAHA sanction program and we are state tournament bound at the 12, 14, 16 and 19u level and a 10U non-tournament bound team.
Our goal is to foster partnerships that support the growth of the girls' game and benefit all players and coaches. We devote ourselves to teaching life lessons through hockey and paving the way for future prep and college hockey opportunity.
Our guidance and coaching is provided by the best in the business and our mostly female coaching staff is comprised of former NCAA Division I and top Division III players.
We are an organization by women for women!

With 24 years of D1 college coaching experience Digit evaluates and guides our older players through the college hockey selection and recruiting process. In game skills evaluation, one on one counseling and parent presentations is just part of the experience Digit brings to our players. With her energy, expertise, and connections throughout the college and professional ranks our players have clear direction as they strive to attain their future goals.
